New Motorcycle Folly Website Launched

We're pleased to announce that our newly revamped web site went live last Friday at http://www.motorcyclefolly.co.uk.

New Folly Officer Richard Morris wanted to expand the existing web site with some new features, so over the winter he began to shape the new one, taking advantage of the changeover to move from our old hosts with a measly 20MB of web space to our new ones with 2,500MB.

This means that with so much more storage space available, we can now include an archive of earlier newsletters and trackday reports as well as expanding our trackday gallery.

Continuing our ethos of openness, availability and interactivity, we've also launched a new discussion forum at http://www.motorcyclefolly.co.uk/forum/: an expanded online version of our Yahoo! Group which also features a photo attachment facility. Anyone can view the discussions but only registered members can post messages and replies, so make sure you register to join in.

We'll also be using the Events forum to post updates as to how our trackday places are filling up so keep checking it to make sure you don't miss out on a trackday!

Any discussion forum or bulletin board is only as good as those taking part, so its success will depend entirely upon your participation.

Registration on the discussion forum will also automatically register you with our new online gallery at http://www.motorcyclefolly.co.uk/gallery/. Again, non-registered users can still view the photos, but only registered members are able to comment on and rate the photographs and send individual photographs as e-cards to their family, friends and colleagues.

After each trackday, we'll be uploading some photographs from the day and we'll also be adding a direct link through to new Folly photographers DE Photo's web site from whom you'll be able to order additional prints from the trackdays.

We hope you like the new look and look forward to your joining in on the new discussion board.
