So much for global warming, the last few weeks have seen the bikes tucked up in the garage with me searching eBay for a suitable garage heater so that I can do the necessary closed season fettling in some comfort.

Many thanks to all those who turned up at an event during 2007, don’t forget to spread the word amongst your friends and colleagues so that we can continue to run our days for many years to come.

We are still sorting out the 2008 calendar but three provisional events have been booked, with the circuits usually firming up the dates in the New Year. These are:

• Castle Combe Monday April 21st
• Rockingham National August
• Castle Combe Monday Sept 15th

We will also be joining our friends at Ixion who run a 2 day event at Cadwell each year. I attended this year’s event and had a thoroughly great time, what a decent bunch of people. I still have to confirm the date and booking details with Russell so watch this space for more information in the New Year.

We have a couple of other events in the pipeline which I will also be able to reveal in the New Year so 2008 is looking good.

For 2008 we will be offering the £500er scheme which replaces the £1000er system run last year. How it works is anybody interested pays an upfront payment of £500 to the Folly, you can then book any number of places at any Folly event up to the £500 value. Any bookings made using these funds will get a 10% discount on the normal price. Any funds left at the end of the season are either refunded or carried forward to the next year, your choice. Anybody who wishes to take part must send a cheque for £500 and made payable to Motorcycle Folly Ltd by the end of February 2008.
